About us

A warm welcome

On behalf of Grampian Primary Academy, I would like to welcome you to our website.  I hope it will give you a flavour of our wonderful school.  We are very proud of our school, our children and their successes. Our school mission is to ‘unlock positive futures’ for our children.  We believe that strong, positive relationships provide the foundations for a school community to flourish.

We aim to ensure that all children receive an exciting, relevant curriculum which fosters a life-long love of learning. We wholeheartedly promote a stimulating and positive learning environment where all our children feel happy, safe and valued as individuals. Through a breadth of learning experiences, we want to inspire children and help them to be the best they can be. We believe that children learn best when they are happy, confident and well-motivated.

There are two key elements to our school culture: Grampian CAN and the League of Rocks. Our over-arching ethos of CAN is underpinned by our three core values: commitment, aspiration and nurture (CAN).  Through the League of Rocks, we equip our children with the attitudes and skills they will need to be successful learners.

Throughout all parts of their school journey, we are committed to nurturing our children to be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. We emphasise the importance of respect, good manners and pride in our work by providing an exciting curriculum, in a positive climate, that enables everyone to succeed

Grampian Primary Academy caters for approximately 240 pupils, aged 3 to 11. It is situated in spacious grounds which the children enjoy in both their learning and leisure time. The school is made up of eight classes. All classes are well resourced to provide a high-quality curriculum for every child. Our school is proud to be part of Anthem, an education charity that strives to create ambitious and successful schools in which every child thrives.

Whether you have a child here already, or if you are considering applying for a place here, I warmly welcome you to Grampian Primary Academy. I hope our website provides you with the information you need and gives you a taste of our happy school.
