If You Have a Concern
At Grampian Primary Academy, we believe that strong relationships and open communication are essential to helping children thrive.
If you have a concern, question or worry, we encourage you to speak to us as soon as possible. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and effectively through discussion with the member of staff best placed to help.
Our values of Commitment, Aspiration and Nurture underpin the way we work with families. We are committed to listening, working together and finding solutions that support the best possible outcomes for children.
Who Should I Speak To?
Step 1: Speak to the Class Teacher
If your concern relates to your child's learning, wellbeing or day-to-day experience in school, please contact your child's class teacher in the first instance.
In most cases, concerns can be resolved quickly through an informal conversation and ongoing communication between home and school.
Step 2: Further Support
If you feel that your concern has not been resolved, or if you are unsure who to speak to next, please refer to our Parent Guide to Raising a Concern.
This guide explains the different stages of support available and outlines who can help with different types of concern. This is available at the bottom of this page.
Step 3: Formal Complaints
We hope that concerns can be resolved through positive communication and partnership. However, if you remain dissatisfied after following the guidance above, you have the right to make a formal complaint in line with the school's Complaints Policy.
