The School Day
At Grampian Primary Academy, we aim to provide a calm, positive start to every day.
Our gates open from 8:30am, when children are welcome to attend our free breakfast provision. This provides an opportunity for children to enjoy breakfast, spend time with friends and begin the day ready to learn.
From 8:45am, classroom doors open for a soft landing. Children can enter their classrooms, enjoy an extended social breakfast if they wish, settle into their learning environment and begin the day positively with support from staff.
Staff are available at classroom doors between 8:45am and 9:00am for brief messages or queries. If you require a longer discussion with your child's teacher, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
Children arriving after 9:00am will be marked as late and should report to the school office to be signed in.

Weekly School Hours
Children receive a minimum of 32.5 hours of education each week, in line with Department for Education expectations.
